| definition | Text | | Anticorps monoclonal entièrement humain, immunoglobuline IgG1 lambda (IgG1-λ) dirigé contre la protéine stimulatrice des lymphocytes B (BlyS ou TNFSF13B ou BAFF, pour B-cell activating factor). Le bélimumab se fixe sur BlyS, empêchant ainsi sa liaison aux lymphocytes B, ce qui bloque leur maturation, et peut induire leur apoptose, y compris des lymphocytes B autoréactifs, et réduit leur différenciation en plasmocytes producteurs d’immunoglobulines. |
